What to expect, Once we have determined the location and position of your pool, we bring in the heavy equipment to begin excavation. In most cases the excavation is finished in one day,but sometmes we run into things underground such as large boulders, ledge or even buried stump dumps left behind by the builder or developer. If any of these conditions exsist, they will have to be dealt with properly to ensure a solid foundation for the swimming pool. This usually runs into extra money for time and materials, sand, gravel or crushed stone and sometimes extra concrete is used to fill in or build up the excavation. These materials are not cheap. The average cost for one 10 wheeler load of stone this year is going to be close to $400. I have built swimming pools for 30 years and have, in some cases, found out the hard way the shortcuts in the excavation can lead to bigger problems in the finished product. So, needless to say, we don't take shortcuts.
